There were 547 million short-term apartment rental nights booked through Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia Group and Tripadvisor in the European Union in 2022. This represents an increase of 7% from 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the latest figures from the European statistics agency Eurostat
