The unemployment rate in the European Union went down slightly in May to 5.9%, while a month earlier, in April, it was 6%. Compared to May 2022, in May this year unemployment in the EU decreased by 0.2 percentage points. At the same time, in the eurozone, the indicator maintained the level reached in April of 6.5% in May as well, and compared to May last year, it also went down by 0.2 percentage points, shows latest seasonally adjusted data by the European statistical agency Eurostat.
