Young people between ruin and hope will be shown in a photo exhibition entitled "Generation in Frame", which will be on display at Sofia's Pressphoto Club from April 7 to 13. Visitors will see 45 photos by 15 artists that illustrate the battles that today's generation is fighting against the destruction, both physical and in terms of values, organizer Mariyan Tomoff told BTA.

While Tomoff described that exhibition as a call for change, he added that the photos also demonstrate enthusiasm and will for growth. The photographers captured the ruin of iconic sites such as CSKA's swimming pool, buildings of Aleksandrovska University Hospital, and the baths in Knyazhevo and Gorna Banya. The organizer said: "Symbolically, we are trying to represent both the physical destruction of buildings and sports venues and the decay of the value system, the spiritual decay - one of the main challenges of our time."

The exhibition goes beyond the borders of Bulgaria, with some of the photos having been taken in Singapore, Kenya, Kazakhstan. The photos draw parallels between young people, no matter where in the world they live, and their common challenges and desires such as the search for identity, for freedom, for change.

After Sofia, the exhibition will move to the Art Gallery in Sozopol from April 17 to 30.
