site.btaMore than 20 Renowned Turkish Printmakers to Exhibit Lithographs in Sofia’s GrafikArt Gallery


More than 20 renowned Turkish printmakers will present their lithographs at the GrafikArt Gallery in Sofia. The exhibition, titled Edition of Sofia, will be on display between April 8 and April 28, the organizers said.
The team behind the exhibition notes that Edition of Sofia comes to Bulgaria after successful showings in the United States, Japan, and Kazakhstan, where it was seen by over 20,000 visitors.
Special guests at the opening in Bulgaria will include Prof. Melihat Tuzun, President of the Association of Printmaking Artists in Turkiye, gallery manager Cem Ustuner of Istanbul’s Pinelo Art Gallery, and artists Nurten Erdogan and Nuray Yildiz.
The exhibition is organized by the Tekirdag Namik Kemal University in Istanbul, the Association of Printmaking Artists in Turkiye, and Pinelo Art Gallery. Curators of the event are Prof. Melihat Tuzun and Cem Ustuner.
"The exhibition tells a variety of stories and perspectives on the world. Audiences will enjoy enchanting natural landscapes, reflections on home, humanity, the search for the self, and the experience of life," say the organizers of Edition of Sofia.
The GrafikArt Gallery was founded in 2018 by renowned Bulgarian printmaker and patron Lyudmil Georgiev and his life partner Mariela Gachevska. Since its opening, the gallery has hosted works by many notable Bulgarian and international printmakers including Zurab Tsereteli, Vasil Kolev, Branko Nikolov, Veselin Damyanov, Emanuela Kovach, Lyudmil Georgiev, Zahari Kamenov, Onnik Karanfilyan, Milena Maksimovich, Simonida Radonich, Yuliy Minchev, Vladimir Chukich, among many others.
