Alley of the Book will be in Sofia from September 9 to 15, along Vitosha Blvd. and in the park in front of the National Palace of Culture, the organizers from the Bulgarian Book Association said on Monday.

The official opening will be on September 9 in the literary corner. The programme will start with a musical performance by Trio Misty. 

After Plovdiv, Botevgrad, Gabrovo and Varna, for a week Sofia will once again host the largest traveling outdoor literary exhibition, which brings together over 150 leading Bulgarian publishers, presenting their latest, interesting and in-demand titles, the organizers say.

Literary readings, premieres of new titles, meetings with authors, and entertaining games for the little ones will take place every day on a specially built stage.

For the first time, a non-fiction festival - Science, Art and Culture - will also be held during the fair. Within two days works will be presented in the following categories - history, art history, cultural tourism, self-discovery and ethnology. For the team of the festival the organizers have chosen and invited some of the most prominent experts in the field of humanities literature and book publishing.
