An exhibition called Strokes from the work of Mikhailo Parashchuk in Bulgaria will open in the Sliven Art Gallery on September 12.  It will pay tribute to Ukrainian sculptor Mikhailo Parashchuk, who is the creator of building facades in Sofia and other cities in the country.

The exhibition will show oil canvases of important buildings in Sofia, including the facade of Sofia University, the National Theatre and of the National Library. The exhibition will also present 26 works of Parashchuk, who moved to Bulgaria in 1921 and stayed until his death in 1963.

The film Permit for Temporary Residence in Bulgaria from the 1980s, which is dedicated to the life and work of the artist, will be screened as well.

The author of the exhibition is Ukrainian Yulia Krasovska, a member of the Society of Burgas Artists since 2016. The project is implemented by the Embassy of Ukraine in Bulgaria and the Burgas Architecture and Art Foundation.

The exhibition can be seen until October 12, 2024.
