The Bulgarian Government on Friday approved the consolidated text of the Agreement concerning the Central European Exchange Programme for University Studies ("CEEPUS IV"), signed by 15 European countries in Warsaw on September 20, 2023, and moved it to National Assembly for ratification.

The signatories are Bulgaria, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Moldova, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The long-term CEEPUS IV programme provides enables the intensification of contacts between higher education institutions of the 15 countries by offering mobility scholarships and is based on a cooperative approach to the international mobility of students and teaching and research staff of accredited universities from CEEPUS member countries.
 
The Agreement will enter into force on May 1, 2025 for a period of seven years. Bulgaria's participation will contribute to an enhancement of quality and popularization of Bulgarian higher education, inter-university cooperation and mobility.
