site.btaGeorgi Gospodinov's "Time Shelter" Now Available in Czech

The first-ever Czech translation of Georgi Gospodinov's acclaimed novel, Time Shelter was announced on the Facebook page of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague (Bulharský kulturní institut v Praze), Czechia on Friday. Excerpts from the book will be featured during the "Night of Literature" event in Prague later in 2024.

"We are thrilled to announce that the novel Time Shelter has now been translated in Czech, by David Bernstein. We proudly regard this as the literary event of the year," the team of Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Prague said.

In 2021, the novel Time Shelter was selected as the Bulgarian Novel of the Year in a competition organized by the 13 Centuries of Bulgaria National Endowment Fund. In May 2023, the English translation of the novel by Angela Rodel also received the prestigious International Booker Prize.
