site.btaAssen Zlatarov University of Burgas Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Ankara University
A Memorandum of Cooperation between Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov University of Burgas and Ankara University was signed at an official ceremony here on Monday, the Bulgarian university said.
The Turkish delegation to Burgas was led by the Ankara University Rector, Prof. Dr. Necdet Unuvar. He announced that 63 Bulgarian students are currently studying with them, and expressed the hope that the cooperation will develop the relations between the two educational institutions in the fields of medicine, natural sciences and engineering.
Also on the Turkish delegation was Turkish Consul General in Burgas Tolga Orkun, who is a graduate of Ankara University, representatives of the academic management, lecturers and specialists of the Erasmus+ programme.
The guests were welcomed by the ViceRector for Academic Activities, Prof. Sevdalina Turmanova, Deans of Faculties and the head of the Directorate of International and National Cooperation, Public Relations and Protocol, Prof. Stoyanka Petkova - Georgieva, who is the initiator and main organizer of the establishment of relations with Ankara University.
The participants in the meeting discussed opportunities for teaching and student mobility in the many fields in which there are programmes at both universities.
