The musicians of Dire Straits Legacy are expected to arrive in Sofia on Sunday afternoon, the organizers from Sofia Music Enterprises (SME) said.

According to them, Alan Clark and company will have the opportunity to explore the capital, as well as enough time to prepare for their concert on Monday.

The show will take place on March 11, in Hall 1 of Sofia’s NDK conference and culture centre. It focuses on six platinum albums from the Dire Straits repertoire and includes all the classic hits such as Money for Nothing, Sultans of Swing, Romeo and Juliet, Walk of Life, Brothers in Arms, Tunnel of Love, Private Investigations

Dire Straits Legacy was born out of a love and respect for the music of the unforgettable band in 2013, bringing together original musicians from different phases of their career. The engine and mastermind is original keyboardist and Knopfler's closest musical partner, Alan Clark.

The musicians of Dire Straits Legacy keep touring the world - North and South America, the UK and all over Europe. Their schedule includes more than 60 concerts a year. The current line-up, in addition to Alan Clark, includes bassist and producer Trevor Horn, Dire Straits veterans Danny Cummings (drums), Phil Palmer and Jack Sonni (guitars), and arguably Britain's most celebrated saxophonist Mel Collins. Three Italian top musicians have also been added, with Marco Caviglia delivering the solo vocals in the distinctive, slightly melancholic style of Mark Knopfler, SME said.
