Bilyana Tokmakchieva presents her first solo exhibition "All That Remains" in the Doza Gallery in Sofia. The exhibition will open on January 20 and will be on until February 8, and its curator is Gergana Minkova, the organizers said.

The exhibition traverses the boundaries of the possible, the real and the imaginary.

The organizers point out that at the core of the exhibition is the red organic forms and the associativity that Tokmakchieva achieves through them. The darkness surrounding the forms and the clean, almost sterile environment forces viewers to focus entirely on the bodies and come face to face with the remnants of life.

Bilyana Tokmakchieva was born in Sofia in 1990. She graduated in political science and international relations from the American University in Bulgaria in 2012, and in 2023 she received a bachelor’s degree in painting from the National Academy of Fine Arts. In early 2023, she founded The Artist at Play group, which aims to create an environment where young artists can develop, meet and work together. In 2024 she joined the Institute of Contemporary Art's school4artists project.
