Three new regions declare flu epidemic. After Haskovo and Vidin regions, temporary measures are also introduced in Yambol - between January 21 and 27, in Plovdiv - between January 22 and 28, and in Blagoevgrad - between January 22 and 30, the Ministry of Health said.
By order of the directors of the respective regional health inspectorates, preventive examinations, compulsory immunizations and re-immunizations and scheduled consultations of healthy pregnant women and children are suspended. Visits to hospitals and specialized institutions for the provision of social services and residential social services for children and adults are also suspended. In order to limit the number of sick children in organized children's and school groups, a reinforced filter is introduced to exclude children with clinical symptoms of flu and acute respiratory diseases. Enhanced ongoing disinfection will also take place.
In addition, attendance will be suspended in Yambol from Wednesday, January 22. In Blagoevgrad, the wearing of medical masks by medical staff in medical institutions will be compulsory. The other measures are the same for the five regions. From Monday until Sunday (January 26), anti-epidemic measures against the spread of flu will be introduced in the municipality of Vidin. Earlier last week, anti-epidemic measures were also announced on the territory of Haskovo Region, between January 16 and 23.
