Since the beginning of September, there has been an increased interest of young people in the profession of the serviceman, the head of the Central Military District (CMD) Col. Georgi Georgiev, who opened a new hall in the district in Vratsa, said. "We are a contractor of the Ministry of Defense in terms of the completion of the armed forces. A campaign for this is underway, and we are now expecting a sharp increase in the serviceman's income, which will help us in this process of recruiting a sufficient number of candidates," he added.

"It is a fact that in the recent competitions the number of those who have submitted documents and are willing to participate in the competitions is greater than the number of places, that is, the committees can carry out quality selection", Georgiev explained, adding that this was not the case until last year.

According to him, the opening of the new hall in Vratsa shows that there is a move towards restoring the real place of military districts in society. "The military district is the link between the army and civil society", Col. Georgiev stressed. "The opening of such halls, such as the one in Vratsa, is an idea that has matured over the years due to lack of funding. This year it is becoming a fact. Several other districts are actively working on it, and at the end of this school year there will be 7-8 more such halls in the country," Georgiev said, adding that the Vratsa Military District is one of the leading in Bulgaria in terms of work with students. "They manage to find appropriate forms to inspire children in terms of military and patriotic education", the Head of the Central Military District added.
