site.btaWorks by Artists from 9 Countries to Be Displayed in Contemporary Art Exhibition in Sofia

A selection of works by eleven artists from nine countries will be featured in the contemporary art exhibition Like a Whisper (Poetic Political). The exposition will be displayed at the Sofia City Art Gallery from March 12 to May 26, organizers said on Wednesday.

The exhibition features works by pioneers in poetic political art such as Bas Jan Ader (Netherlands) and Etel Adnan (Lebanon) and contemporary artists actively working in this direction. The selected works include watercolours, prints, objects, installations, video and sound. The project is curated by Galina Dimitrova-Dimova and Ariel Reichman.

"The title is borrowed from Tracy Chapman's song, TaIkin' Bout a Revolution, in which she sings, ‘Don't you know / talking about a revolution? / It sounds like a whisper.’ We should listen to the whispers," the gallery team noted.
