site.btaMyara Survey: 19.2% Approve Government, Two in Three Disapprove
One hundred days after the Rosen Zhelyazkov Cabinet took office, its approval rating stands at 19.2%, while disapproval is at 66%, according to an independent survey, part of the monthly face-to-face programme of the Myara polling agency. Data from previous months show the usual trend observed in research practice - a gradual return to the typical, more lasting sceptical attitudes towards the government in Bulgaria after an initial period of moderate public trust.
The latest survey was carried out among 807 adult Bulgarians through face-to-face interviews, using tablets, between April 3 and 13. The maximum standard deviation is ±3.5 at 50% share values. One percent of the sample corresponds to approximately 54,000 people.
The National Assembly has similar ratings, with 15.2% approval and 75.1% disapproval. Data from previous surveys indicate persistent negative perceptions with only minimal variation over time. In contrast, public sentiment towards the President is favourable, according to the Myara agency: 49.4% of respondents express approval, while 35.4% disapprove of him. The attitude towards the President is consistently positive, albeit with some fluctuations, the agency said.
If elections were held in April, GERB-UDF would win 26.4%, Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria 14.2%, Vazrazhdane 13.3%, MRF-New Beginning 10.3%, Democracy, Rights and Freedoms 7.1%, BSP-United Left 6.7%, There Is Such a People 6.3%, MECh 6.2%, and Velichie 4.3%. The electoral threshold for entry in the 240-seat Parliament is 4%.
The electoral landscape remains largely unchanged compared to the October 2024 elections, with protest-oriented forces gaining ground somewhat more noticeably, but support for the more pragmatic parties remains consistent as well, Myara also said.
