Police officers detained a 56-year-old near the village of Tsareva Polyana in Stambolovo Municipality for growing hemp plants with a height of up to three meters, the press centre of the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry in Haskovo said on Monday.
The man was found by the police officers in a wooded area watering the 29 plants. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
