Mostly sunny before noon. Cumulonimbus clouds will form over Western and Central Bulgaria in the afternoon, mainly in the mountainous regions and the Danubian Plain. Brief rain and thunderstorms. Sunny throughout the day over Eastern Bulgaria. Light to moderate east-southeasterly wind. Highs: 32C – 37C, around 34C in Sofia.

The Black Sea coast: Sunny. Moderate easterly wind. Highs: 28C – 31C. Sea water temperature: 26C – 28C.

Mountains: Cumulonimbus clouds. Brief rain and thunderstorm after noon. Light east-northeasterly wind in the low-lying mountain areas. Light to moderate northerly wind over the higher ridges and peaks. Highs: about 28C at 1,200 m, about 22C at 2,000 m.

August 18

Mostly sunny. Cumulonimbus clouds will form mainly in mountainous areas in Western Bulgaria in the afternoon, with brief rain and thunderstorms expected. Light to moderate easterly wind. Highs: 30C – 35C, up to 30C along the Black Sea coast.
