site.btaFire at Blagoevgrad Hospital Causes Damage, No One Seriously Hurt

A fire broke out in the orthopedics ward of the Blagoevgrad hospital around 4:30 on Tuesday morning, said Hospital Director Dr Dimitar Dimitrov. There were no fatalities or serious injuries.

The fire started in one of the hospital rooms.

Nine patients were admitted to the surgery ward to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Dimitrov noted that the staff of the orthopedics ward dealt with the situation adequately and thanks to their timely intervention, no one was seriously injured.
