site.btaIndustrial Production Down 1.3% in August 2019, Y/Y

October 9 (BTA) - According to preliminary data released
by the National Statistical Institute on Wednesday, the
seasonally adjusted Industrial Production Index this August
decreased by 0.1 per cent compared to July of 2019. The working
day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 1.3 per cent in
 August 2019 from August 2018.

In August 2019, compared the previous month, the seasonally
adjusted Industrial Production Index decreased by 6.6 per cent
in the mining and quarrying industry and by 0.6 per cent  in the
 electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply. Production
 rose by 0.8 per cent in manufacturing.

On annual basis, the Industrial Production Index in August 2019,
 calculated from working day adjusted data, fell by 4.6 per cent
 in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply; by
1.3 per cent in the mining and quarrying industry and by 0.8 per
