Dimitrov denied that the upcoming match would be his formal goodbye with his fans. He shared that he still has tennis-related goals that he is chasing.
The Bulgarian athlete shared that he feels better after an injury cut short his US Open quarterfinal match.
Djokovic shared that he was happy to be in Sofia for the second time, the previous time having been in 2012. He added that the two with Grigor have been friends for a long time, which is why they already had an exhibition match in Belgrade four years ago. The Olympic champion said that he was happy to contribute to Dimitrov's foundation, as Dimitrov has earned his respect over the numerous times the two have met on the court.
