site.btaBansko to Host Eighth Pirin Ultramarathon from September 21 to 23

Bansko will host the eighth edition of the extreme mountain running competition Pirin Ultra from September 21 to 23, the Bansko Municipality press service reported on Tuesday. 

The ultramarathon, part of the Skyrunner World Series, will be held in the heart of Pirin National Park. Participants will compete on four routes, with Route A to be 160 km long and Route B 66 km.

Route C will be 38 km long and will lead participants through Koteshki chal, Koncheto, Kutelo Peak, Vihren Peak and the massif of Todorka Peak. Route D, 25 km long, should be suitable for runners who want to experience the beauty of Pirin but do not feel fit enough to tackle the other three routes.
