site.btaNew School Year Starts in 2,331 Schools in Bulgaria

The new 2024/2025 school year starts Monday, September 16, in 2,331 schools nationwide. Over 58,000 first-graders have been enrolled so far, with a total of more than 720,000 children in preparatory groups in schools and pupils from first to twelfth grade, the Education Ministry said in a press release. 

Over 92,000 teachers and specialists will work in kindergartens and schools.

In 396 Sunday schools in 43 countries, the new school year will offer Bulgarian language and literature, history and geography of Bulgaria, and projects related to Bulgarian history and culture.
