The District Prosecutor's Office in Haskovo has charged a 29-year-old Turkish citizen who, while passing through the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint, failed to declare to the Customs Agency the money he was carrying across the border amounting to EUR 124,650 (BGN 243,794), the Appellate Prosecutor's Office in Plovdiv said in a press release on Thursday.

The undeclared money was concealed in two packages in the cabin of the truck driven by the detained individual.

The investigation is ongoing under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Haskovo, the press release further said.
