site.btaBerlin Art Theatre Organizes Screenings of "Wingless" in Five German Cities and Luxembourg in January

Berlin Art Theatre invites the audiences to screenings of the new Bulgarian film Wingless in six European cities in January 2025, theatre director Karya Kostova told BTA. 

Written by Niki Iliev and Bashar Rahal, and directed by Niki Iliev, the film premiered in Bulgaria on December 6. 

It is inspired by the true life story of Bulgarian paralympic 'Long jump' world champion Mihail Hristov. The story follows him from the moment he loses his arms in an accident with electricity to making the life-changing decision to become a professional athlete.

Mihail Hristov is played by Naum Shopov Jr. The cast also includes Bashar Rahal, Paraskeva Djukelova, Nathan Cooper, Leart Dokle, Georg Kiryakov and Vladimir Mihaylov. 

The screenings will be held on the following dates:

January 18, 14:00 hrs, at MAGAZIN-Filmkunsttheater in Hamburg, Germany;

January 18, 15:00 hrs, at fsk Kino am Oranienplatz in Berlin, Germany; 

January 19, 12:00 hrs, at Harmonie Kinos, Frankfurt, Germany;  

January 25, 17:00 hrs, at Kinobar Prager Frühling, Leipzig, Germany; 

January 26, 12:00 hrs, at Rio Filmpalast, Munich, Germany; 

January 31, 18:30 hrs, ciné Utopia, Luxembourg.

The film will be subtitled.

A special guest at the Munich, Hamburg and Frankfurt screenings will be director Niki Iliev.
