BSP (Bulgarian Socialist Party) for Bulgaria’s belief is that it is important for the caretaker Prime Minister to remain impartial to all political parties, said BSP for Bulgaria Floor Leader Borislav Gutsanov on Wednesday. He commented that Caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev, a notable political figure and former National Assembly Chair from GERB, inevitably holds biases towards this political faction.

"I don't see any way he could distance himself enough from it to ensure everything is handled in the best possible manner," Gutsanov said. "For BSP, it does not matter who the next caretaker PM will be. That is a decision for the President alone. What is important to us is that the elections are fair, and the caretaker government does not interfere in the election process", he explained.

When asked if BSP has held talks to form a regular cabinet with the third mandate, Gutsanov confirmed. "We were involved in meetings where the removal of Raya Nazaryan from GERB as the chair of the National Assembly was discussed," he said.

He believes the mandate should have been used more wisely, advocating for slower negotiations and an increased level of discussion. "Seven parliamentary elections in three years indicate a serious political problem and deficit," Gutsanov added.
