GERB Leader Boyko Borissov told journalists in Parliament on Wednesday that no one had contested the snap parliamentary elections held under the government of caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.

In his words, it does not matter to his party who will be the caretaker prime minister and caretaker ministers.

"The truth is something that has happened, the rest is an assumption," Borissov answered BTA's question of whether media publications are true, which claim that former Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel is a candidate for NATO Deputy Secretary General. "We have done our best to make sure that a worthy candidate like Mariya Gabriel is appreciated in the world," Boyko Borissov added.

He noted that under the Constitution it is the President's right to choose who will be the caretaker Prime Minister, and GERB will in no way judge whether the choice is good or bad because it does not concern the political party.

Asked why the rules for the filling of the anti-corruption commission have not yet been adopted, he said: "They can't agree on who should be the head, they are not talking about rules and principles at all, they are talking about who should become a minister, who should take what post from which party, that is why I told you that we are staying away because to do something through a caretaker government literally means to enter through the back door." When asked who is trying to do it, he said: "I leave it to you to see, when GERB governs, it takes all the responsibility."

"If it is not true, I would apologize, but There Is Such a People confirmed that there was such a meeting in their office and I can not understand why once you say that everything is public, then you 'play' in offices, laboratories, apartments, pulling deputies," the GERB leader continued. "We are too big to get angry about such trifles, and we have been through it, only that we went to the monasteries, we all have mistakes, I hope that we have learned our lesson that this is not the way, the principle, not sustainable and not beautiful," Borissov said.

The GERB leader said that he and his party are not doing anything against anyone. The party is consolidated at this point, he assured.
