Bulgarian Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov held a telephone conversation with British Minister of State for Immigration Robert Jenrick, the Interior Ministry said in a press release here on Wednesday. British Ambassador in Sofia Robert Dixon also took part in the conversation.

The two sides highly appreciated the bilateral cooperation achieved in the field of home affairs, as well as on all issues of mutual interest. The participants shared a common understanding to cooperate even more effectively in the field of border security, including countering illegal migration and migrant smuggling networks.

Stoyanov and Jenrick agreed to work actively together, enhancing information exchange, building on cooperation and maintaining contact.
