Health Minister Moskov Assures That No Single Municipal Hospital will Be Closed after Introduction of National Health Map


Sofia, February 12 (BTA) - Not a single municipal hospital will be closed after the introduction of the National Health Map, Health Minister Peter Moskov said Friday during a meeting of the standing health committee of the National Association of Municipalities in Bulgaria, Moskov's Ministry said in a press release.

Moskov is quoted also as saying that the map ensures that each hospital will have the opportunity of offering the full volume of the activities it has offered prior to the introduction of the National Health Map, as well as that the facility will receive the total funding it is entitled to for the activities performed by it. The Minister said that the purpose of the map is to use it as a basis for implementing the national health policy and to ensure a fair and equal access of each Bulgarian to the system of healthcare.
