PM Orders Termination of Selection Procedure for Hemous Motorway

Sofia, February 15 (BTA) - Prime Minister Boyko Borissov gave orders to the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova that the Strategic Infrastructure Projects National Company undertakes prompt actions to terminate the procedure for the selection of contractors for the construction of lots 1 and 2 of the Hemous Motorway, the Cabinet's Press Service said Monday.

The tender for the construction of the two sections (total length of 59 km) of the value of slightly less than 1,000 million leva was won by companies, believed to be connected to controversial MP Delyan Peevski and LUKOil President Valentin Zlatev. The tender results are appealed by an Italian and a Turkish companies, which offered a lower price in the procedure.
