72nd International Technical Fair Unveiled in Plovdiv

Plovdiv, Southern Bulgaria, September 26 (BTA) - The 72nd International Technical Fair was unveiled by Bulgarian Industrial Association Chairman Bozhidar Danev in Plovdiv. Attending were Agriculture Minister Dessislava Taneva, Plovdiv Regional Governor Zdravko Dimitrov, Plovdiv Mayor Ivan Totev, members of Parliament, and Bishop Nikolai of Plovdiv.

Danev said that the Bulgarian economy is lagging considerably from the other European economies with regard to high technology and innovation, adding that the country has a high potential for their development, and that Bulgaria is regaining its international markets in machine building and robotics.

For a second time the Czech Republic is a partner country of the fair. Czech Ambassador Dusan Strauch said that for the first time in 2015 two-way trade exceeded 1 billion euro. Czech exports to Bulgaria totalled 730 million euro, and Bulgarian exports 300 million euro.

Eleven specialized exhibition will highlight innovations. Over 600 leading companies from 33 countries will exhibit products and services in the fields of machine building, construction, electronics, electrical technology, robotics, energy, ecology, water management, IT, chemical industry, mining, transport and automotive and auto industries.

The International Technical Fair will be on until October 1.
