301 Voting Sections in 72 Foreign Countries to Be Set Up for Bulgarian Presidential Elections

Sofia, October 16 (BTA) - The Central Election Commission said  it has definitively designated the overseas localities where voting sections will be set up for the November 6 Bulgarian presidential elections and a concurrent referendum, and has set the number of voting sections in each locality. There will be 301 voting sections in 72 foreign countries. The largest number of sections will be established in the United Kingdom, the United States and Turkey (35 each), Spain (27) and Greece (13).

The number of voting sections in each foreign country takes into account the reasoned proposals of the leaders of the Bulgarian diplomatic and consular services in the respective country, the number of voter applications, the geographical location of the places and how far apart they are, the current size and distribution of the Bulgarian community in each area, and proposals of expatriate organizations, among other factors.
