February 13 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko
Borissov Wednesday met with Gen. Wesley Clark (retd.), NATO
Supreme Allied Commander Europe from 1997 to 2000.
Clark said he is visiting Bulgaria in his capacity as advisor to
a Swiss organization that deals with combating illegal trade
and smuggling.
Clark visited the Interdepartmental Coordination Centre for
Counteracting the Trafficking in and Control of the Movement of
High-risk Goods at the Directorate General for Combating
Organized Crime. The Centre's staff demonstrated the tracking of
the import and manufacture of excisable and other high-risk
goods.
He said he was familiarized with Bulgaria's excellent results in
combating contraband and the successful work of the
Coordination Centre. Speaking on behalf of the Swiss
organization, he expressed its readiness to work with the
Bulgarian government to enhance the Centre's capacity through
