site.btaGERB Floor Leader Tsvetanov: Bulgaria Doing Excellent Job of Protecting EU External Border

March 12 (BTA) - GERB floor leader Tsvetan Tsvetanov
Tuesday conferred with Michael Spindelegger, Director General of
 the International Centre for Migration Policy Development, GERB
 said in a press release. The two met prior to joining a round
table hosted by the National Assembly on the management of
migration policy in the context of the European Parliament
elections.

Tsvetanov, who chairs the parliamentary Internal Security and
Public Order Committee, said that Bulgaria is doing an excellent
 job of protecting the EU external border. Tsvetanov recalled
that the European Commission made available 160 million euros to
Bulgaria to strengthen the protection of the border with
Turkey. The GERB floor leader once again noted that Bulgaria has
fulfilled all criteria for acceding to the border-free Schengen
