site.btaCentre for Vocational Training Opens in Rakovski Industrial Zone, Part of Thrace Economic Zone

September 10 (BTA) - A centre for
vocational training called Thrace was opened Tuesday in the
Rakovski Industrial Zone, part of the Thrace Economic Zone. The
new facility, whose construction is part of the plan for
integrated development of the economic zone, will serve the
companies working in the zone. The opening took place in the
presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev and Plovdiv
Regional Governor Zdravko Dimitrov.

The centre is expected to provide training to more than 600
people annually. It has state-of-the-art equipment and highly
qualified trainers, head of the centre Marko Ivanov said.
Training will be provided in the area of pneumatics, vacuum
technologies, electronics and electrical engineering, electrical
 engines, industrial controllers, mechatronic systems with
medium and high degree of automation, local and remote control
of industrial process, among others.

An agreement was also signed between the Thrace Economic Zone,
the seven municipalities which support the training centre and
six vocational schools in the area.

Speaking to reporters after the opening ceremony, Donchev said
that work is underway on an industrial zones bill whose passage
is expected to shorten and streamline the procedures for their
