August 15 (BTA) - The Bulgarian News Agency launched a new national press club in the coastal city of
 Varna on Sunday, which marks both the Dormition of the Mother
of God and the day of Varna. It was consecrated by Metropolitan
Ioan of Varna and Great Preslav.

The ceremony was attended by Regional Governor Mario Smurkov,
Municipal Council Chairman Todor Balabanov, MEP Emil Radev, MPs
and members of the academic community, the judiciary, cultural,
social and media organizations.

BTA Director General Kiril Vulchev said that the office will be
a place for exchange of professional experience and journalist
training.

BTA has a network of press clubs, with 15 located in Bulgaria
and two abroad, in Bosilegrad (Serbia) and Taraclia (Moldova),
