The Central Election Commission (CEC) Wednesday determined the conditions and organization of campaigning for the snap general elections on October 27. The election campaign opens on September 27 and ends at midnight on October 25.

Campaigning is in the Bulgarian language. Campaign gatherings are public, with the organizers and the Interior Ministry's bodies being in charge of the order of holding these meetings.

Citizens, parties, coalitions, initiative committees, candidates and supporters have freedom of expression and election campaigning in oral and written form at campaign gatherings as well as through media service providers.

Election campaigning is prohibited on October 26 and 27.

It is also prohibited to destroy and delete campaign materials placed in accordance with the procedure laid down in the Election Code until the end of the elections; to publish and broadcast anonymous materials related to the election campaign; to use campaign materials that violate good morals; to use campaign materials that violate the honour and good name of the candidates; to use campaign materials containing the coat of arms and/or the flag of the Republic of Bulgaria and/or of a foreign country, as well as religious signs or images.

The full list of conditions for the election campaign are listed in CEC's decision.
