Varna, on the Black Sea, October 4 (BTA) - Over-the-counter
drugs will increase by 3 to 4 per cent after a one-year
moratorium on medicine prices expired, said Bulgarian
Pharmaceutical Union President Ilko Getov on Saturday.
According to Getov, the prices of medicines that are reimbursed
by the National Health Insurance Fund wonТt go up.
Getov said that the Union's leadership will propose to the next
legislature legislative changes to help tackle difficulties with
supplying drugs in small and remote settlements. He suggested
introduction of mobile pharmacies as such practice exists in
many European countries. Getov said that mobile pharmacies
should be licenced by the Executive Drug Agency, but their
operations should be regulated by a law.
Getov attended an inaugural pharmaceutical business forum in
Varna, organized by Varna's Medical University and the Bulgarian
Pharmaceutical Union. LI/PP
