Switzerland's Erlking Short Animated Film Wins Grand Prix of 12th Edition of  World Festival of Animated Film in Varna

Varna, on the Black Sea, September 11 (BTA) - Switzerland's Erlking short film of director Georges Schwizgebel won the Grand Prix of the 12th edition of the World Festival of Animated Film which was held here in September 7-11. The film received one more award, the prize of the Institute of Art Studies with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

A special diploma for a short film was awarded to Travelling Country, a production of Bulgaria and Croatia directed by Vessela Dantcheva and Ivan Bogdanov. The film also received the award of the Union of Bulgarian Film-makers.

The Mitten, a production of Belgium and France directed by Clementine Robach received the best children's film award.

The award in the student film competition went to The Pain of Russian director Nadya Fedotova.

The best TV series award was won by France's I Have Dreamed of You So Much of director with Bulgarian origin Emma Vakarelova.

The best feature film award went to The Magic Mountain, of France, Poland, and Romania, directed by Anca Damian. A special diploma was awarded to Phantom Boy, of Belgium and France, with directors Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli.
