Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) - New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski said here on Tuesday, quoted in an MRF press release, that the Agreement on Security Cooperation between Bulgaria and Ukraine is Sofia's political commitment to that country and its heroic people, supporting them against Moscow's unprovoked military aggression and helping restore normal life for all Ukrainian families and their children.
"Bulgaria has only one civilizational choice. I congratulate caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev on this historic moment - the signing of the Security Cooperation Agreement with Ukraine," Peevski said further.
"We MRF-New Beginning have clear principles and values, and I declare that as the leader of the most pro-European and pro-Atlantic party in Bulgaria, I stand by my word and will not allow pro-Russian forces to divert Bulgaria from its chosen path," Peevski concluded.
No official information has been provided by the authorities about the signing of the security cooperation agreement, as approved by the Council of Ministers on November 27. The agreement represents a political commitment to continued support for Ukraine, the Government Information Service said at the time.
