A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck Canakkale Province in Northwestern Turkiye on Tuesday evening, according to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.
The earthquake was also felt in Istanbul, Izmir, and Manisa, Turkish NTV television channel reported.
The tremor with a depth of 8.65 km was registered at 11:38 p.m. local time (10:38 p.m. EET). Its epicenter was in the sea, not far from the town of Ayvacik.
There are no reports of damage following the earthquake.
