Bulgarian alpine skier Marko Semerdzhiev recorded two second places in Thursday's FIS Giant Slaloms in Kupres, Bosna and Herzegovina.
In the first start of the day, the 19-year-old Semerdzhiev finished in 2:12.72 minutes, 1.14 seconds behind the winner Tvrtko Ljutić (Croatia). Third was David Rakovic (Slovenia), who finished three-hundredths of a second behind Semerdzhiev, while another Bulgarian, 17-year-old Atanas Petrov, finished fourth 2.47 seconds behind the champion.
In the second race, Marko Semerdzhiev was again second with a time of 2:07.96 minutes. He shared the first place after the first run with Rakovic (1:03.99 minutes), but the Slovenian made a slightly better second run and won with 2:07.40 minutes. Alen Hribersek (Slovenia) finished third with 2:08.11 minutes.
