The February issue of BTA's LIK magazine is titled "BNR: 90 Years Later". The occasion is the 90th anniversary of a royal decree, issued on January 25, 1935, by which radio broadcasting in Bulgaria became state property. The Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) marks its birthday on January 25.

The magazine will be presented at the marble lobby of the radio station's building, 4 Dragan Tsankov Blvd., at 5 p.m. on February 25, 2026. An exhibition titled "90 Years BNR: the Radio of Generations of Bulgarians", featuring photographs and archive documents from the holdings of the Archives State Agency and BTA, will be opened as an accompanying event.

In an introduction to LIK, BTA Director General Kiril Valchev describes this issue of the magazine as "a declaration of love to the radio". "This love is a personal experience for many people - for those who have been working for BNR over the years, for those who have been interviewed on air, and for its listeners," Valchev writes. He notes that the issue is a team effort of BNR and BTA, setting "an example of cooperation that can make Bulgarians more successful and the results of their efforts better, when guided by love in their endeavours." The BTA Director General recalls that this decades-long cooperation has resulted in a new show on BNR's Hristo Botev Programme, "Radio LIK", which presents the new issues of the agency's magazine every month.

Interviewed in the issue, BNR Director General Milen Mitev says that "the audience always comes first", adding that his radio station supports Bulgarian arts and especially young artists. "We don't have to be liked by everybody, but everybody will respect us if we adhere to clear principles in our work," he argues. "I am convinced that our best years are yet to come," Mitev says. "Apart from being a media outlet, BNR is also a cultural institution, a home to six world-class music companies, and the country's largest sound recording studio."
