The progress of administrations in introducing the euro is about 98%, e-Governance Minister Valentin Mundrov said here on Tuesday. He participated in an awareness event, part of the National Information Campaign for the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria.
Mundrov emphasized that the Ministry maintains a public electronic platform with up-to-date data, which monitors the progress of the administrations. "Our goal is for all electronic services and information resources to be adapted by the end of 2025," he noted and congratulated Vratsa Municipality for the fact that its administration is fully adapted to work with the euro.
"I am confident that the adoption of the euro will make things easier for both business and citizens," the Minister pointed out, adding that the introduction of the common European currency will eliminate the need for conversion in cross-border payments and will ensure greater transparency and efficiency. In the field of e-Government, the adoption of the euro will accelerate the development of electronic services and will lead to a smaller administrative burden, Mundrov stressed.
"Our task is to make this transition transparent, secure and convenient for every citizen and I believe that with joint efforts we will accept the introduction of the euro, which will be a step forward towards a modern, prosperous Bulgaria," he stated.
