Rock bands with environmental messages are set to perform during the two-day Green Rock Fest in downtown Ruse, manager of the association organizing the event Maria Atanasova said on Saturday.
Both established Bulgarian and international bands, as well as emerging artists recognized through the Green Rock Inspirations initiative, will perform on stage. The lineup features Caliberty, Alogia, Jeremy?, Black Rose, SMOG, Inconvenients, Chaos, and Himera.
On September 21, Italian vocalist Fabio Lione will perform as a guest with the Serbian band Alogia.
All rock music fans can vote, either in person or online, for the song they believe conveys the most powerful environmental message.
During the festival, an art installation composed of recyclable materials will promote environmental awareness through creative expression. On the evening of September 21, the facade of the Municipality of Ruse will be transformed by a 3D mapping and light show focused on environmental protection.
The event will feature a children's area, a donation corner supporting the Alexander Rusev Foundation, and a food zone organized by Municipal Markets, which will include tents, tables, chairs, and catering services. On September 22, Valdi Totev will conduct a workshop titled "Inspirations in Rock Music and its Impact on the Audience" at the Lomovete Nature Conservation Complex near the village of Nisovo.
Atanasova said that transportation will be provided for visitors who do not have their own vehicles.
