The project for new nuclear capacities at the Kozloduy NPP site was the focus of today's meeting at the Council of Ministers after the implementation of the engineering contract between NPP Kozloduy - New Capacities and the consortium consisting of the Bulgarian branches of Westinghouse Energy Systems and Hyundai Engineering & Construction was launched at the end of last year. In the course of Monday's conversation, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov assured that the Bulgarian side will do everything necessary to speed up the implementation process, without compromising the quality of implementation. We care a lot about the security during the construction and the safe operation of the blocks in the future, Zhelyazkov said. The prime minister was adamant that the project must comply with all national and European rules and standards, the government press service further said.
