A two-day 11th National Meeting of Agricultural Producers will open in Kazanlak (Central Bulgaria) on Wednesday.
The event, which is organized by the Association of Agricultural Producers in Bulgaria, will be opened by Agriculture and Food Minister Georgi Tahov, his Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.
During the forum, the Ministry leadership, officials of the European Commission and of Bulgaria's Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels, representatives of the World Farmers' Organization and business executives will discuss the future of agricultural policy in the EU, the new opportunities and challenges facing agricultural producers in 2025, investment opportunities in the agrifood sector and State aids, changes in direct payments and the new risk management tools.
The agricultural producers will be briefed on sustainable land-use and investments in renewable energy sources, the impact of new EU regulations on agribusiness, and current grain market trends and adjustment to climate change.
