Bulgaria is participating in the world's largest international tourism exhibition, Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) in Berlin, which began on Tuesday, the Tourism Ministry said in a press release.
At the exhibition, Bulgaria is represented at a booth, featuring not only the Tourism Ministry, but also representatives of municipalities, the tourism industry, tour operators, hotels, and tourism organizations.
The Bulgarian booth’s programme includes interactive experiences such as virtual reality, a photo corner showcasing scenic views of Bulgaria, wine presentations, and tastings of Bulgarian wines.
Commenting on the event, Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh said: "Bulgaria has a unique tourism potential, and we are here to present it in the best possible way. We are creating opportunities for business connections, showcasing our rich cultural and natural heritage, and reinforcing Bulgaria as a preferred destination on the global tourism map."
The exhibition in Berlin gathers over 5,500 exhibitors from 161 countries across a space of 160,000 sq. m. This year, the forum is held under the motto "The Power of Transition Lives Here," with 400 leading speakers from business, science, and politics discussing the current and future challenges facing the industry across four stages.
