In December compared with November 2024, the seasonally adjusted retail trade volume decreased by 0.3% in the EU, according to first estimates from Eurostat released on Thursday. In Bulgaria, a month-on-month increase by 0.5% was reported.

In December 2024, compared with the like month of 2023, the calendar adjusted retail sales index increased by 2.0% in the EU. In Bulgaria, there was an increase of 7.8%.

The annual average level of retail trade volume increased by 1.3% in the EU for 2024 compared with 2023.
