Bulgarian Tourism Minister Evtim Miloshev conferred here on Thursday with Dr Frank Quante, Chief Executive Officer of Fraport Twin Star Airport Management, the company that operates Varna Airport and Burgas Airport, Miloshev's Ministry said in a press release.

Dr Quante thanked the Tourism Ministry for the joint work so far and presented his proposals and strategies for an increase of the tourist traffic on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. "The possible options to reverse the 49% slump on the German market in recent years is future cooperation between Germany's SunExpress and Bulgaria's Electra Airways. As an airport operator, we will support this cooperation because we are certain that it will succeed," the CEO said.

The forthcoming road shows, which will promote Bulgaria to the public and business in Poland, the UK and other European countries, were also on the agenda. The shows are organized by the Tourism Ministry and the Bulgarian Black Sea Alliance. The most recent such event took place in Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw between April 22 and 25 and attracted keen interest from nearly 40 representatives of various local tour operators, agents and journalists.
