Bulgarian city Varna (on the Black Sea) is among the top European destinations that French President Emmanuel Macron recommends people to visit in a video post on Instagram.

In the video Macron answers a question about which destination he would recommend visiting in Europe. He listed several cities and countries, starting with Varna. The French President visited Varna with his wife Brigitte Macron in 2017 at the invitation of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and then prime minister Boyko Borissov.

Macron also recommends Split, the ruins of past ages in Rome, Andalusia and its wonders in Spain. Macron expressed his wish to visit Lisbon, the city of Pessoa and mentioned Salzburg, Baltic countries and Denmark.

He adds that there are many places in Europe with rich history which he would visit with pleasure and calls Europe a treasure that people should continue loving.
